My kids are all under 6, and we're not heavy ipad/tech users in our house precisely for the reasons described in this article (among others). Still, I am already seeing signs.
I watched a healthy amount of TV when I was growing up, but there were limits. For one, dinner was a non-negotiable affair: attendance was mandatory, and everyone had to take turns talking about their day.
Balance is important with technology and children, but it's easy for the scales to tip away from positive interactions quickly. That said, pro's and con's (i.e. less promiscuity/more over-exposure to pornography)
Not advocating for a specific/appropriate level of human or tech interaction, just suggesting there's value in being mindful about it.
