I wanted to quickly do a post about ways to support a loved one after a loss.
While everyone's personal experience and grief is different, we all crave honest and genuine support during this time.
- Take action and do something kind (i.e., supply the post birth stuff)
- Acknowledge
- Be a good listener
- Don't be afraid to say the loved ones name or bring up memories
- Don't put a time limit on the grief
- Send a card
- Remember and acknowledge important dates (due date, loss date, Mother’s Day)
- Don't forget the father
