In partnership with OOTify, UCLA is helping you find the right care team provider to make talking to your doctor and treating your mental health a seamless process.
OOTify cares deeply about the maternal community and has built technology to help you access services, resources, and education by cutting down on cost and resolving the navigation challenges within the current system. We provide access to maternal mental health care specialists to get you back on track and thrive! OOTify works directly with UCLA doctors to help guide your treatment.

Meet Your Care Team

Christina LaMonica, LCSW - Therapist
Christina is a licensed clinical social worker and a perinatal specialist. She has extensive
experience working with pregnancy loss, early parenthood, and postpartum depression. She
also has a background working with the foster care system and with adoptive parents.

Violet Alcantar, LCSW - Therapist
Violet is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience working with
children, parents, and families. She has extensive experiencing working with families who are
experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, and postpartum adjustment concerns. She is also a
trauma specialist and she can support families who experienced significant challenges on the
road to becoming parents.

Gurminder Sandhu, Ph.D. - Psychologist
Gurminder is a psychology postdoc under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips. She has
experience working with adults and families of color, and she can provide services in both
English and Punjabi. Gurminder is skilled at helping new parents navigate the unique
adjustments to having a child through a culturally sensitive lens.

Nina Honeycutt, ACSW - Therapist
Nina is an associate clinical social worker under the supervision of Christina LaMonica. She has
extensive experience working with moms and dads as they adjust to their new role as parents.
She has extensive experience working in a hospital setting, and she is trained in both grief work
and trauma.

Vanessa Rodriguez, MA, Psy.D. (ABD) Psychologist
Vanessa is a registered psychological associate under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips,
Psy.D. She works extensively with BIPOC families and new parents, and she has received
specialized training in postpartum depression and anxiety. She also works with women who are
experiencing fertility challenges on their road to parenthood.

Kristin Boyd,
AMFT, PMH-C
Therapist
Kristin is an associate marriage and family therapist under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips,
Psy.D. She is also a perinatal mental health certified clinician, and she has extensive experience
with postpartum depression and anxiety as well as perinatal loss and grief. Kristin also has a
background working with both trauma and addiction, and she comes from a strengths-based
approach in her work with families.

Emily Bown, RDN -Dietitian
Emily is a registered dietitian with extensive training in perinatal mental health. She operates
within the Health at Every Size ® perspective, and she helps pregnant and postpartum parents
navigate the challenges that having a baby can place on the body. She also has experience
working with eating disorders, and she practices from an intuitive eating approach.

Camille Fiori,
CD, HCHI, HCHD Lactation Coach
Camille Fiori is a Certified Advanced Newborn Care Specialist, and Certified Lactation Educator and Counselor. She brings dynamic perspective and a unique level of support to families as she sees patterns between various emotions and nutritional issues women have, both prenatally and how it may affect them either during or immediately after birthing, as well as how to thrive in the following years during postpartum, in addition to their own baby’s health and general wellness.
